Eric and Courtney :: Picture me... engaged!

Eric saw Courtney and melted
Courtney saw Eric and Smiled
Courtney loves Disney Land
Eric loves to go to Disney Land with Courtney
Eric goes to Church
Courtney holds Eric's hand all the way to Church
They are both in Love

So this past weekend was awesome!  We got to hang out with two of the most radical people ever on the 25th!  Who, you ask? OH, I WILL tell you... Eric and Courtney is WHO! We headed down to the Union Station in L.A.  it was nothing short of AWESOME!

Eric and Courtney met at church about four years ago. From the way they tell their story, you can tell they were in love from the day they met.  Both of them are such great people, Courtney has a smile and laugh that can light up a room and you can see the love in Eric's eyes from a mile away.

Last week I picked up a "radical meeter" from the BEYOND section of Bed Bath And BEYOND... I tested it out on them and it gave them the rating of  "most radical, this side of the Mississippi." WIERD! [i know what you are thinking..... but it is true. i promise]

E & C,
we had a blast hanging out with you. Thank you!

In todays email box...

Mark and I received this email from another photographer named
Kristen Lewis. This email touched our hearts so we wanted to share a portion of it with all our blog readers.

"My name is Kirsten Lewis .  I am also a photographer who has been following your blog for a bit now.  I am from the OBX North Carolina area however in October I moved to Paso Ancho, Mexico which is a colonas right in the mountains outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Anyway,  I have fallen in love with everything about living in a small, traditional Mexican village.  While here I have been working with two separate organizations, the Centre de Acopio (an animal shelter) and the Refugio Infantil (an orphanage).  Everything about these organizations is selfless, hopeful and inspiring.  They are small but powerful and have completely changed me and how I want to live my life.

I am conducting a fundraising event all by myself.  No big businesses, no help from corporations.  Just me and all the amazing people who are touched enough to donate to the cause.  It is a DONATION FOR IMAGE TRADE.  I launched it on my birthday, March 22nd and it will be running until April 18th.

I was wondering if you would be interested in possibly making mention of this on your blog.  I know that you have many readers and thought they might be inspired to help me out.
sinserly, Kristen

Its Tax Session!

Meet Brian (our best friend on April 15th)

As most of us know April 15th is right around the corner, and Tax sessions is here! For some of us we hide in a dark place dreading the amount of $$$ we owe to our lovely country... But for us, Mark Brooke Photographer, we sit in the sun knowing we are in good hands.

Brian, from Winter Accountancy Company, is doing our taxes this year. Not only is he a great friend, he is an awesome accountant. Just like us Photographers he is an entrepreneur who runs his business with perfection.  So Thanks Brian for everything you have done for us these past few months!

Carlie and Gabriel :: Shoot off two-point-o

As most to of you know this past week we headed out to WPPI ( a photographers convention). It was Freaking INSANE, the entire memory of the convention is a BIG blur! The days consisted of Conventions starting at 7:30am and parties lasting till 3:00am, so we are exhausted. But we will post on that later this week.

Our good friends Gabriel and Carlie (some seriously radical Photogs... and neighbors!) drove up with us... before hand we had decided to take this opportunity to Rock a "shoot off"; since it had been so long since our last one. So on Monday they shot our "day after session" and on Wednesday we shot their high fashion shoot. It was Fantastic! Here are some of the shots we took...more is soon to come.

DONT FORGET TO CHECK BACK LATER THIS WEEK FOR SOME SERIOUSLY FUNNY PHOTOS OF WPPI AND CARLIE AND GABERIEL'S SLIDESHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Candice!

Mark meets Candice
Candice is feisty

Mark Loves Candice
Forever.

Dear Wife!

I love you so much!  I can't believe that it is our 1 year anniversary!!! I remember, like it was yesterday, when we were 15 years old; and we met for the first time.  You were like no one i had ever known.  You still are like no one I have ever known... I like that.

YOU mean more than anything in the world to me. I thank God everyday for putting you in my life. I literally would be nowhere without you.  Thank you for understanding who I am and loving me for that. I did not know love until I knew you.  You are the reason that I do all that I do. I WILL love you for the rest of my life. Happy anniversary!

I LOVE YOU  A 180!!!!

*no i did not take these pictures... Karey Michelle did! She is awesome!

WPPI and New slide show post

Hello fellow blog friends!

Mark and I are going to be going to WPPI this year, and we are so excited to meet everyone.  We have been freshening up our poker skill-Z with, Gabriel, Ma5en, Jessica, Victor, and Becker.  And I don't know about anyone else, but Mark and I have a map of where everyone said they were going to be at certain times in Vegas. We want to make sure we can find everyone in the big bright city of Sin and lights.

For those of you, like us,  who are going to be running around all day trying to bump into someone you know, Mark and I would love for you to bump into us! We are going to be in front of the Big water show/fountain, in one of the nooks, on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.-7:15p.m. We would love to see you there.

If you cant make it, dont worry about it. Our back up plan is to start making-out in front of the fountain since it will be our 1 year wedding anniversary :)

*and  just FYI we posted the engagement slide show from our last post. So make sure you check it out.

Stephanie and Michael's engagement

Stephanie is super fun
Michael likes to have fun
Michael has a big heart
and Both are very smart
Michael like to take pictures
Stephanie likes to be in pictures
Stephanie loves Michael
Michael loves Stephanie

When Candice and I met Michael and Stephanie we knew they were a perfect fit for each other. They complement each other in every way! And to top it off they are both soooo awesome to work with. Michael has a lot of knowledge in photography so when Candice and I were planning this shoot we wanted to do something that was new and fresh to the both Michael and us.

We decided to play around a little with a mirror. I had been envisioning this shot for some time! The pictures turned out great, partly because we were taking pictures of a couple that jumped right out of a magazine. They are amazingly photogenic! I could go on and on about Michael and Stephanie, but in short, they ROCK! Thank you both sooooo much for allowing us to be a part of your big day! We cant wait to see you again.

P.S. DUE TO A FULL COMPUTER SERVER. THE SLIDE SHOW WILL BE UP TOMORROW.

Stephanie is simply gorgeous!

I love when couples just "let go" during their engagement sessions. It makes the shoot soooo much more fun and relaxed. Stephanie and Michael were so much fun, and they gave off so much energy.

We shot most of our pictures down by the San Juan Capistrano train station. There is a "bad"ical petting zoo.  We were taking a few shots and there was an ostrich that wanted to join in... how awesome is that!
Don't forget to check out the slideshow tomorrow because Stephanie has an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. ring! It is beautiful!  Our cameras could not stop taking pictures of it.
